Campaign Platform

"Unconventional ideas for conventional problems..." That is how I view my community and how I can make a difference to stabilize and grow the community. I am a native Detroiter, teacher, community activist and small business owner. I believe in Detroit. This State has the most talented and hardest working people in this country.

Presently, I am active in my community group working with the City of Detroit to improve my community's quality of life including:

• Economic growth and stability through sustainable resources and revenue
• Building a greener, cleaner Michigan and Detroit
  • Healthy residents
  • Jobs
  • Security
  • Education

Bringing all my experiences to bear at this point: teacher, business owner, and social activist along with my education: Bachelor in Graphic Design, College for Creative Studies, allow me to bring creative solutions to challenges. I take what others see as a problem and turn it into an asset. For the State, this can mean:

• Universal Health Care
• Mass Transit
• Sustainable State of Michigan (green economy)
• Affordable Auto Insurance
• Sustainable tax structure
• Regional cooperation

I believe we must demand accountability by our elected officials to the citizens and our citizens accountable to their State and local communities.

My goal is to build a coalition of community leaders, residents, and activist groups to support my campaign to State Representative, 7th District with the platform of accountability and responsibility focusing on Universal Health Care, Mass Transit, Sustainable State, and affordable Auto Insurance.
